LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Sir, lam writing to enquire if the proposal put forth in Pukekohe some time ago to have the second morning train take its passenger car on to Papakura, and so connect with the suburban traffic to Auckland, has progressed to any definite stage. The people of this district would very much like to see this proposal carried into effect, for it would be a great convenience to many—especially to the dairy farmer, for he could by an extra effort get his necessary work done by that time, and so get to Auckland in fail time. Trusting that the local bodies will again move in this matter. PROGRESS.
