MAUKU BRANCH ACTIVE. APPEAL FOR SUPPORT. The Mauku branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union evidently recognises the truth of that which the "Times" has frequently asserted in regard to unionism among farmers; namely, that by their apathy in respect to organisation the farmers are, comparatively speaking, at certain disadvantages. A circular now being produced foi distribution throughout the district appeals for loy.il co-operation, and sets out some cogent reasons for why the request should be complied with.
