FIRE BRIGADE ROLL OF HONOUR

During the great 1914-1919 light for justice, right and liberty against might thousands of New Zealand's fire-fighters heard the call to arms. They went forward, and numbers made the supreme sacrifice. Among those who went forward were a large number from the little Pukekohe brigade, and they did their bit to uphold the traditions of the .mightyBritish Empire. With the object of keeping fresh in the memories of fellow firemen, and others, the occasion, the local brigade intends having constructed a Roll of Honour, and with a view of obtaining the necessary money to defray the expanse of such, a grand picture entertainment will be held in the Premier Hall on Wednesday, September 29. Tickets are selling freely, and those who intend being present are advised to acquire a ticket now in order that the promoters can gain an idea of how many will be present, so that they can provide ample seating accommodation for the occasion. Tickets are on sale everywhere.
