PUKEKOHE V. WAIUKU. WIN FOR HOME TEAM. On Wednesday evening last a it am of billiard r.nd snooker phi vers representing Armstrong's saloon journeyed to VYaiuku to meet a team representing the Waiuku club. After a most interesting i3wl enjoyable contest Waiuku predominated on the aggregate by 5 games to si. and a margin of 115 points. The • first six games were fairly even, resulting in ,'} wins each, but Waiuku were :J7 points to the good. The last two games resulted in favour of the home team by 7S points. The snooker games were decidedly even, honour.' being fairly even, with two games each, and Waiuku live jioint.s to the good. Waiuku carried off the "rubber" as far as billiards were concerned. After the match the visitors were entertained at supper, for which the team's thanks are due to the home club. The hospitality extended was greatly appreciated by the visitors. A return match will take place in about a week's time.
