When the recent controversy in reference to a new central school at Tuakau was raging ftie residents of Harrisville were afraid that their local school might be closed down. But this does not seem likely, because the board of Education, we un-* derstand, is making enquiries :n respect to certain sections under offer, with a view to purchasing sites. doubt the board realises, that Harris-;, ville contains a large tract of very*' fertile country, and that when better means of communication are established the population is bound to increase. 5
