TOWN BOARD MEETING. (Conl iniied.) Tenders for Formation of Tennis' Courts.- On Hie motion of Mr. Campbell seconded by Mr. Rea it was carried that Mr. Blank's tender to form three courts at the cost of £l4 14s be accepted. It was also resolved that the tennis committee-be given , permission to plant shrubs on the Village Green in accordance with the plan at the board's office. Chaff—Mr. Rea moved that two tons of chaff be ordered. Seconded by Mr. Jor.es and carried. Stables.—lt was decided that Messrs Rea and Campbell get an estimate of the cost of a stable to submit to the next meeting of the board.
TENNIS CLUB
The annual general meeting of thj Papakura Tennis Club is to be hefflt in the public r library on Thursday' evening next. - .< The Town Board are converting vacant piece of land into a producing proposition 1* laying down fl three courts on the pjgjpgrty of the ™ board known as the 'aßpe Green. This land was levelledTnw prepared for courts by a previouslpoard, but* owing to the war the wore- !wafr not f completed. The club are arranging j| witjfr the board to take over thsy-|* courts at an annual rental.
