The lady members of the Papakura ' Golf Club played for Mrs. E. D. McLennan's trophy on Saturday last. I The winner was Miss Spence. The following are the scores:—Miss An- . nie McLennan 111, Miss Harris 131, Miss L. Reynolds 122, Miss Walls 103, Mrs. H. Walters 'JI, Miss Hilda Cave 151, Miss G. Cave 113, Miss C. Wood 113, Miss Cooper 110, Miss Walters! 110, Miss Spence 78, Miss Oliver 105, Mrs. Pirie 104, Miss J. Walker 98, Miss Olive McLennan 118, Mrs. Crawford 104, Miss McKinnon 118, Miss Johnson 123. The men played for the trophy presented by Mr. D. W. Jones, the president, the successful player being Mr. J. E. Llliott. The following are the results:—Messrs J. E. Elliott 73, G. Miekle 74, R. Willis 77, W. Crawford 79, G. Hunt 82, Dr. Brook field I 92, Mr. G. Boagey 103. A sealed handicap will be played to-morrow, and on Saturday, August 28, a team is to journey to Pukekohe ' to play a return match. Yesterday afternoon the ladies held a putting competition which was won by Miss C. Wood. At the conclusion of the competition a presentation of a fountain pen was made to Miss G. Cave, who has acted as secretary of the local c!us> for the t past season. 1
