A GOOD STORY.
Lord Dunedin is relating an American club story with gusto. There was a large group smoking, and an old man observed: "I'll bet a new Panama hat that no married man here can honestly assert he has not kissed another woman affectionately since he was married."
After a pause a young fellow said, "Hand over that bet, I can pledge you my word." "Son, it's yours." And when the young man had strolled away they said, "Old boss, you've been had; lie's only returned from his honeymoon two days." This immensely tickled another of the party, and when he went home he told it to his wife as a really funny incident. She adjusted her j spectacles, and, looking sharply at j him, retorted, "John, you have not | shown rue your new Panama hat yet!"
