PUKEKOHE 11 V. PAPAKURA 0. From the kick-off play went to Papakura's quarter. The ball remaised there for practically the whole of the first half, the play on both sides being very poor and ragged. At
half-time neither team had registered a score. In the second half Pukekohe woke up, and Graham repeatedly got his backs in motion, but without success. Close to Papakura's goal Woods took a mark. Crisp was successful with the kick: Pukekohe S, Papakura 0. Play was carried on to Pukekohe's quarter, but G. Laurie saved by kicking over to Wyatt. The ball was carried up the field again, and after loose play close to the line C. Stembridge got over. Crisp converted: Pukekohe 8, Papakura <>. Papakura was kept busy by the local boys, who several times were almost over, but in each case were penalised. From close play Woods made a short run, and registered a try. Crisp failed to convert: Pukekohe'll, Papakura <i. Shortly Sfter this the game ended. Mr, A. Blundell acted as referee.
