MONTHLY MEETING

A sub-committee was formed consisting of Messrs. Coxhead and Wood to make all inquiries re metal and scoria for the requirements of the district.

Electric Light.

The estimate of Messrs. Crosher. and Co. was submitted to the meeting, showing an estimated cost of four near lights and for other dis- - tant lights.

It was resolved on the motion of Mr. Pegler, seconded by the chairman, thai provided satisfactory arrangements can be made with the Postal Department and Mr. Osborne, the board accept Messrs. Howick and Panmure Railway.

It was decided to approach the County Ouncil in the matter of the new line, joining up at either Papatoetoe or at Manurewa, and also the Paeroa East Coast railway linking up at Takanini or<.at Manurewa, Extending Station Road.

Mr. King attended the meeting,' and submitted a scheme for extending Station Road in a straight line to join up with Hill Road. 5
