ST. ANDREWS' SUNDAY SCHOOL

PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY.

THE PRIZE LIST,

The distribution of prizes in connexion with St. Andrew's Sunday School took place at the Oddfellows' Hall on Wednesday evening, when there was a large attendance of pupils. Proceedings commenced about five o'clock, when the children indulged in a number of games, after which tea was served and full justice wag dyne thereto.

The vicar of St. Andrew's Church (Rev. J. P. Cowie) then presented the prizes for the year ending December, 11)1 Si, as follows: -

First Glaif.

Girls.—Mona Morrow 155. Muriel Simpson 150, May Shotbolt 141, Alice Berriiuan 138, Laura Kirkman 135, Lillie Hard 120, Lillie Holloway , 120. Boys.—Kingsley Brown 185, Ivan Fausett 170, Willi# McDivitt 157. Additional prizes awarded to this class by friends ot Mrs, Henderson.

Second Class.

Girls.-Rene Lees 109, Alice Johns 150, Ethel Reynolds lad, Gladys Masters 148.

Boys.—Harry Kirkman 170, Willie Rack 170, Jack Weston 155, Harry Bromwich 125. Third Class.

Girls. —Rtwa Johns 190, Jean Wilkinson 178, Alma Armstrong 139. Boys.—Harold Deane 185, Marcus Rack 170, Bertie Bockett 140, Clifford Masters 140. Infants.

Girls.—Phyllis Deane, Nester Mell»op, Edna Masters, Gladys Armstrong, Ngaire Bayly, Winnie George. Boys.—George Mcßae, Ashley Fawcett, Nevil Fawcett, Teddy Rick, Stanley Masters.

Mr. Cowie thanked the teachers for their loyalty and smpport, and on his motion a hearty vote of thanks was carried by acclamation. A magic lantern entertainment given by Mr. A. Hardy was appreciated to the fullest extent, and Mr. Hardy was also heartily thanked for the interesting programme presented. Lollies were then distributed to the juveniles, who dispersed after spending a most enjoyable evening.

The Dance.

The floor was then cleared for dancing, when the usual monthly social took place. Dance music was supplied by Miss Ivy Duncan, extras being contributed by Mrs. li. Wilkinson, Misses Mavis Brown and I. Short. Messrs. F. Duncan and L. Bayly proved efficient -M.C's. Refreshments were handed round and duly appreciated. One of tUt most successful socials yet held terminated at about 11.30 p.m,
