ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Franklin A. and P. Society was held in the Masonic Hall, Pukekohe, on Friday last, when the president, Mr. ; J. N. Massey, presided over a Fair aftendance of members. In opening the meeting, Mr Massey said it was gratifying lo see so'many

He works very long hours, sometimes from 8 o'clock in the morning till midnight, and where would you get a man to work the hours he does for USO a year? Mr. Hamilton's work is hard work, and when a man puts himself out like he* does, it is not fair to give him only £150; and if Mr. Hamilton had no private means he could not live on the wage, so I think- it is quite in order to give him C 300." It was carried unanimously that Mr Hamilton receive E3OO per year. New Grandstand. On the motion of Mr. .1. Roulstoii) seconded by Mr. A.
