GOLF NOTES
On Saturday a team from Pukekohe golf link's visited Papakura. The visitors ''proved rather strong for the younger club, and won comfortably by S matches to 1. One match (Mr. Motion v. Mrs. Crawford) had to be abandoned owing to shortness of time. At the 11th hole they were all square. The most interesting match of Ihe day was that between J. W. Bohns, of Pukekohe, and Willis, of Papakura. At Johns was ■i down, but by playing and a series of fours, leu 17th hole. Halving tjheUast two holes he won the match, by:l'up. The links were in good order, and with one oi two alterations now in progress will very shortly be a splendid Dhole course. The results of the play are as follows, Pukekohe players being mentioned first: Mrs. Campbell-Smith i up and 3 to play v. Mrs. Wafers'; 'Mrs. J3ayly, 7 up and a to play v. Mrss f,'of>d; Miss Clarke !! up and '2 U'fVpla'y v. Miss Olliver: Mrs. Motion v. 'KirV. Crawford all square. W. P. Ho|»sn's, S. up and (i to plav v. Hunt: Y. Brosnahan, (> up and •") to play .v.
