PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB. MEET AT RAM Alt AM A. The Pakuranga Hunt Club met on Saturday at Mr. Sharp's "Springlield' I.arm, Ramarama. Beautiful weather prevailed, and a large muster was present, upwards of oi) riders following. The hounds weje thrown off in a lield of turnips at the back of the homestead, when, within three minutes, puss was located, and from that on gave them a busy time, doubling back several times over the same property, then through Mr. Brown's property, on to Mr. Harrison's, eventually being killed in Mr. Fox's plantation. The hounds were again brought back to Mr. Sharp's t'aim, when three hares were seen going in dill'crent directions, one taking the hounds on to Messrs. Lymh's property, doubling back again to where it started from, then back through the same property again, on to Mr. H. Cadness's farm, where another kill was registered. Another hare was soon located, and hunting continued over Messrs. li. Reid's, Cadness Bros.', Caskell Pros,' W. Play's, Foote's. Holmes', Harris', Pulman's, Miss,,Cole-Baker's, and Mrs. F. L. Wight's, where the last, hare was killed, and the enthusiasts then adjourned to the hall, where a sumptuous repast was awaiting them, under the charge of Mesdames West, Walton, Sharp and Clark, and Misses Brewer, Fleming, Donahue and Cornthwaite. After tea, Mr. B. Myers and Dr. Grant each spoke in very high terms of the country that nad been hunted over, and thanked the farmers and ladies for the hospitality they had received. Dr. Grant also spoke of the Pakuranga Hunt Club's intention to hold their annual point-to-point steeplechase this season at Ramarama. Mr. D. J. Lynch responded in an able manner. Mr. Dovell then proposed a vote of thanks to the ladies, which was carried amid cheers, this bringing another memorable hunt day to a close.
