The Franklin Farmers' Auctioneering- Co., Ltd., report:— At our usual weekly sale on Friday pigs and poultry, came forward in average numbers, prices showing an advance from late rates. Pigs (weaners) sold from 18s to 355; all sold. Poultry: Hens, 4s to Gs 3d; roosters 4s 3d to ss. Ducks, 5.s Gd to 9s Gd, with an unsatisfied demand. . Fruit: Apples, Gs to 8s bus. case. Vegetables, produce, and sundries at usual rates, On Wednesday we held a clearance sale at Mr. i. T. Stembridge's, whew a large- quantity of furniture and sundries was disposed of at satisfactory prices, some of the prices realised being: Dressing-table £2O, wardrobes £9 to £l4, sideboard £29. On Saturday we held a clearance sale at Mr. McLennan's, when a quantity of furniture and sundries was disposed of at satisfactory prices. •
