He vas a member of the Police Force for many years, and was at all times a pains'aMn? officer. Mr. Johnston Kns aco;: red' a farm about one and a-hait miles from the Papakura township. His numerous friends wish him success and prosperity in his new occupation. Constable Miller, of Pukekohe, is relieving at Papakura until Mr. Johnston's successor is appointed. Funds For Piano. A most successful social was held i:i the Parish Hall on Wednesday night. There was a large attendance, the takings at the door amounting to £.lB. The object of the social was to raise sufficient funds to acquire a piano lor the Palish Hall.
