Some "intellectual" in the Postal Department (says the Wairarapa Times) has hit upon an idea which for "brilliance" eclipses the great star Sinus. Previously depositors wlio drew money out of the Savings Hank could obtain the amount desired as soon as the ollicial notification was received at the ofiice of withdrawal, usually two days. Now a new system has been adopted. The notification is posted to the private residence of the person withdrawing the money, and this means a delay of some four or five days. Not only is pnnoyanec rnd delay occasioned to the public, but the work of the officials is considerably increased. The "intellectual" individual who introduced this antiquated idea should receive the Order of the Brainless Ass.'
