WEDDING BELLS

WILSON-WESTON.

A local wedding that attracted considerable attention was solemnised at St. Andrew's Church, Rev. J. P. Cowie, officiating, on Wednesday last, the contracting parties being Mr. P. J. Wilson, son of Mr. W. Wilson, of , Prospect Terrace, Pukekohe, and Miss Eva C. H. Weston, daughter of Mr. George Weston, of Hall Street, Pukekohe. The.bride, who was given away by ber brother, Mr. A. J. Wesbc on, was attired in a frock of ivory crepe / 4e J cV ne » with overdress of ninwith fringe, while she wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful bouquet of white flowers, maidenhair ferli, and asparagus. She was attended by her little sister, Miss Nellie Weston, as brktesmaid, and the latter was dressed in white voile, with lace trimmings, pink sash and hat. She carried a beautiful bouquet of pink apple blossom, and maidenhair fern, and asparagus. Mr. William Wilson, jun., acted as best man. After the ceremony about bO gaests were entertained at the Carnival wrooms, when the usual toasts were honoured. . Toasts were proposed tUfcj Rev. Cowie, Messrs. C. K. Lawrle (Mayor of Pukekohe), W. Roulston, Geo. Weston, and W. Wilson. Rev. Cowie also proposed the health of Mrs. Weston, sen., grandmother of the bride, which was responded to by Mr. W. Roulston. The rendering of the National Anthem brought a pleasant function to a close. In the evening a dance was held in the Oddfellows' Hall, when there was a large attendance of personal friends of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, jun. Dance music was supplied by Miss Ivy Duncan, while extras weie rendered by Messrs..Perkins, Short, and Messrs. J. C. Weston. V The., wedding calfe, a work of art, was, presented by Messrs Geo. Ancle and Saasydifaiuku. Wedding presents were numerous, including several cheques.
