URGED BY CR. DAYSH.
The advisability of having an" explosives magazine erected in PukeKohc was strongly advocated by Cr. Daysh at Wednesday night's meeting of the Borough Council. The magazine, he stated, could be erected, and it could be used to store benzine and explo- • sives, not only that owned by the RoVo.ugh Council, Out by all who did business in these particular lines of trade: The matter was one of absolute necessity, for the purpose of obviating risk of loss of life. He referred to the explosion on Tuesday in the Auckland Province, and said u" such an explosion occured in Pukekohe the council would be held responsible, because it nad not provided for an explosive magazine. Councillors agreed that the advisability of a magazine was imperative, :.nd eventually the matter was referred to the woiks committee to furnish a report by next meeting.
