VERMIN RIDDEN STOCK
WAtKATO HERDS INFECTED. SURE REMEDY CLAIMED. The startling statement is published that half the cows in the Waikato are more or iess infected with vermin, and that their yield ;s reduced by one-quarter on this account. It has been estimated that r.n infected cow may be carrying on her body half-a-million lice—a truly hideous burden. That a -emedy for this fearful pest should be discovered is absolutely essential, otherwise the existence of our main industry and source of wealth must be impelilled. A cure is announced in the advertising columns of the "Times" by the 'Frisco and Dominion Export Company, Cook Street, Auckland.
