WORK OF THE PAST YEAR

The sixtieth annual meeting of tht Auckland Orphan Home Trust Boart was held the other afternoon, Sir F W. Lang, M.P., presiding. The annua report, details of which were pub lished recently, was presented by thi Rev. E. W. Gillani. Mention wai made of several changes in the stal during the year. The matron, Misi Wignall, had had to relinquisii he work owing to ill-health, ftnd th< board had been very fortunate in se curing the services of Miss Adi Hooker as her successor. The Rev W E. Gillam, who had oeen a mem ber of the Board for 20 years, tool up the position of secretary in No vember.
