Waiting till the pair were on their way to his stable, be procured his double-bar-relled shotgun and located himself at the corner of 'the shed commaul ing the door. When the two appeared each carrying- a bag of grain, he silently got up behind and blazed both barrels in the ati>. The result was spectacular. Bcjth bags were dropped, and record time was made in reaching the neaiiest fence. Along J the top of the fence ran a barbed wire and thereon one of the parties I left 'vh» bei(t part of a good suit.
