PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL
MONTHLY MEETING. The following weile present ait the monthly meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council, held on Wednesday night: The Mayor (Mr. C. K. Lawrie), Crs. D. R. Hamilton, A. P. Daysh, R. H. MeGough, J. Keith, D. Morrow, J. Patterson, the cle'ik (Mr. J. F. Deane), the engineer (Mr. W. Wyaf.t), and the foreman (Mr. S. Clews). Mr. C. S. Laird asked for a crossing near his property, in order to obviate crossing the street in the mud. —Moved by Cr. Hamilton, and seconded by the Mayor, that .'the Works Committee take the work in hand. Subway. The district engineer (Mr. D. T. Mcintosh) advised that provision had been made for a cattle subway at Pukekohe, and instructions given for its construction accordingly. Proposed Crane. The •long-agitatedif A o > r flß e ! at the Pukekohe railway station "wm referred -to in a letter from the district engineer" (Mr. D. T. Mcintosh), who stated that the matter had been referred to the chief engineer.—How long, O Lord, how long? Revaluation. The Valuation Department wrote stating that the question of revaluing the Borough of Pukekohe would be considered when ».he annual revision work for the year was being decided on. Vote of Thanks. ..A vote of thanks was passed to the Mayor for the able manner in which the functions in honour of the Prince of Wales were carried out. In reply, the Mayor referred to the very great deal of work done by the clerk, and by the foreman, Mr Clews, and Mi*. Clews.
