SCHOOL WANTED AT WIRI
A request for the establishment of i school at Wiri was made by a deputation of residents of the district, .vhich waited on the Education Board on Thui/sday. Mr. A. Rogers, who acted as spokesman for the deputation, said there was urgent need for a schoo; n the district. The childnen had to vvalk a distance of some two miles to either Papatoetoe or Manurewa long ft highroad, rendered danger.us to children by reason of motoi irallic and cattle driving. There were '.5 children from Wiri now attending these two schools, and others weit ttending the Flat Bush school.
