FRANKLIN WINTER SHOW
Tak'ng everything into considera-' tion, the entries for the first Franklin Whiter Show are as good as. could bo expected under the circumstances. The swede classes are particularly good, and will form one of the leading features of the exhibition. The Winter Show Committee deserve credit for the way thoy have worked, and now it is up to the public to do their bit and patronise the show, tveryone should buy a season ticket, which costs four shillings, and every parent should buy a two shillings season ticket for his boy or gill. In our opinion the price of the season ticket is too low. It admits at all times into the show and acts as a pass. Wlien we consider that an ordinary ball or concert will cost foul shillings for about four hours' programme, our contention is right. The .sheep dog trials on Thursday, May 20. are being well patronised. Already twenty entries are in, and some of the best dogs in Raglan and Waiksßo Counties will be competing. The Poultry and Kennel Club entries arc as good as could be expected under the circumstances.
