GOLF NOTES

SEASON OPENED. The golf season officially opened 10-' cally on May 1, and was wall attended, and a very pleasant afternoon was spent, Mr. W. Johns (president) officially declaring the opening in an appropriate speech. On behalf of Mrs Johns, .he invited those present to spend an-evening at his residence, which eventuated very happily. Several friendly games were played, the contestants snowing the usual form for >the commencement of the season.
