FOOTBALL
SEASON OPENS TO-MORROW. ( The football season in Franklin opens to-morrow. Present indications point to the season being highly successful from all points of view. Tomorrow's fixtures have already been published. The Pukekohe junior fifteen will leave the Post Office at 1.30 p.m. sharp for Waiuku. Referees. Referees for to-morrow are:— Senior- -Bombay v. Onewhero at Bombay: Mi-. E. Pollock: Mercer v. Clevedon at Mercer: Mr J. O'Malley. Pukekohe v. Waiuku at Pukekohe: Mr. Joe Reynolds. Junior. Onewhero v. Bombay at Onewhero: Mr. D. Fulton. Clevedon v. Patumahoe at Clevedon: Mr. J. E. Elliott. Waiuku. v. Pukekohe at Waiuku: Mr. W. Findlay. At a meeting of the Franklin Referees' Association Mr. Robert Fulton was elected president and Mr. Bert Clarke secretary. It was decided to take steps to affiliate with the Auckland Referees* Association and to endeavour to cifi tain an Auckland referee to examine members of the association during next week.
