SOCIAL EVENING
GUESTS FAREWELLED. _ A happy little function took place on Wednesday evening jtrffoe rffsidence of Mr. and Mjs• wri^TPausett, West Street, in the form of a rocinl gathering of a large number of friends, the occasion being to bid farewell to Mrs. C. W. Sievers and her daughter, Miss I. Sievers (Post Office. Bundaberg, Queensland), who are on a visit from Queensland, and are at present of Mr. and Mrs. Fausett. A spacious room, tastefully decolated with flays, coloured lanterns, ferns and chrysanthemums, had been set aside for'dancing, where games and dancin-z were indulged in till the early hours of the morning. A dainty supper was served, and the singing of "Auld Lang Syne," and three hearty cheers for the host and hostess brought a most enjoyable evening to a close. The illuminations were left in the capable hands of Mr. W. S. Russell, electrician.
