Mabel Normand's biggest hit since she has been in the Goldwyn studios is her impersonation of "Sis Hopkins'' from the play by Rose Melvilie. This picture will be screened at the Premiei" Hall to-morrow (Wednesday) evening. It is the story of a helter-skelter girl and her harumscarum adventure. Mabel is supported by a strong cast, including John Bowers. Other items are gazette and llairnsfather's cartoons. SKATING. Thtiifcday and Friday afternoon pml evening this week.
CONCERT AT WAIUKU.
The concert in the Waiuku Town Hal! to be given next Tuesday evening by Miss Dean and her pupils in aid of the war memorial fund promises to be of a good deal higher
guide than the inhabitants of country towns are often fortunate enough to be auditors of. A most attractive programme has been prepared. In addition to pianoforte items by Miss Dean and some of her pupils, and songs and recitations from some of the best local talent, a number of ladies and gentlemen well known in Auckland musical circles will assist. Among them are Mrs Forsyth, Mr. Fastter and Miss Olive Dean, entertainers and reciters; Mrs. R. Hes-l-cth. with her violin; and Miss NTettleton, the dancer; Miss Muriel Barr, contralto; Miss Dalston, Mr. Frank flisted, and Mr. R. Beddes (barilone) will sing. The audience will also have the pleasure of hearing some of the Rev. .J. Fussell's. delightfully humorous recitations. Such a galaxy of stars is certain to attract a bumper audience, but the Waiuku Town Hall is a spacious building, and no one has ever yet had to be turned away from its doors.
