IMPORTANT DECISIONS.
Important decisions were arrived at last night at a meeting of the Pukekohe School Committee, Mr, V Perkins presiding. Mr. J. P. Ka laugher, superintendent of manurl and technical training, was present. Mr. Kalaugher, in response to the committee's request, promised to provfde a teacher for dressmaking at Pukekohe, Tuakau and Patumahoe and other centres, provided sufficient pupils were assured. In a discussion on the probabilities of sufficient pupils being forthcoming for a book-keeping class on Friday nights, Mr. M. Shaw thought ii would bo quite easy to secure the required number, namely, ten. Parents could come into the town o,: Friday night (late night for the shops) and leave their sons and daughters at the school in the meantime. It was suggested that a book-keep-ing and typewriting class could be held on Saturday morning. Patterson said that in the past, owing to the falling off in attendance, these classes had been merged, and the result was unsatisfactory.
