SUBURBAN AREA.
Providing the loan proposal is earned, the Borough of Pukekohe will ilnn have the means of improving its roads, and installing drainage and sewerage, and extending the lightin:: and water services. The town will then have such facilities as will attract residents possessing means and owning businesses in Auckland city. This class of resident would be in a position to build houses, and so increase the ratepayers' roil. But to attain this desirable position foi the borough, it will be necessary t> secure suburban train services. Until and unless the loan proposal is carried it is futile to expend energy en lids matter, but if the necessary Funds are sanctioned by the ratepayers we hope that the Borough Council and Chamber of Commerce will take this matter up energetically and push it forward to a successful issue.
