On Saturday a number of Pukekolu sports journeyed to Te Kumi to attend the annual meeting of the f« Kuiti Racing Club. Only one locally owned equine faced the starter. Th;was Mr. Geo. Armstrong's bay gelding MahgaWk, a three-year-old, In Marble Arch out of Mona Rose. Th< rolt started in both the Otorohangr Hack and Te Kumi Hack Handicaps and although he was ridden by tin capable lightweight horseman, iJo-. Rpf»d. lie failed to gain the monetm\ end of thp stake.
