ATHLETIC CLUB FORMED.' _ St

SPOItTS MEETING ON MARCH 2'

With the object of forming an athletic and sports club at Tuakau, a meeting was held in the Public Hall on Monday last, there being a largw attendance of those interested. Mr. A. H. Tapper was voted to the chair, and explained the objects of the meeting, after which it was de« cided, on the motion of Messrs. H. Abbott and P. Madill, A. Summer, L. B- Tapper, S. Black, L. Bott, J. McGahan, W. G. Little, W. Young be the committee, with power to add to the number," and officers ex officio. Affiliation.— lt was also decided to affiliate. with the Northern Athletic Association.

Sports Meeting.—lt was unanimously agreed upon to hold the first sports meeting in Mrs. Craig's paddock, providing permission can be obtained, on Saturday, March 27- V

Band.—The matter of arranging for a band was left in the hands* of the secretaries.
