(Continued.) Ne Sale. Messrs. Amburys, Ltd., Auckland, asked if the old Karaka Road Board Fee building. wasf or sale. —Reply, for sale. New Brighton Wharf. In the interests of the settlers of the whole of the district, the Clevedon Steam and Navigation Co., Ltd. wrote urging the council to proceed With the erection of a new wharf at Now Brighton, Miranda, the subject of a deputation some time ago.—ln reply thereto, the clerk stated it was proposed to raise a loan over a special rating area for the cost of th«) wharf, above the £SOO Govern-* ment grant available.—Loan proposal to be placed before the ratepayers at an early date, to provide the cost, above the Government grant of £SOO. A sum of £BOOO was required for this wharf, Mangatangi bridge, and Mirpnda wharf.

Mr. J. Robertson, Pokeno Valley, wrote requesting access road to his property, Maungatawhiri Parish.— Cr. Keith had previously reported that the work was too expensive, unless by a loan. If the settlers were prepared to be rated for a loan, the council would do the work. Mangatangi-Miranda.

Messrs. R. T. Douglas and F. Smedley and 13 others requested ell to consider the question of forming a new road from Mangatangi-Mir-anda Road to the beach at Kaiaua, near Tarawaire Creek, through the Fairview Lands Company's projjerty, that company being prepared to give the land required for the same.—On the motion of Cr. Keith, decided to do the work if the ratepayers would provide for a loan.

Mercer Station Road.

The Mercer Town Board wrote drawing attention to the bad state of the road at the "old tunnel."— Received.

Temporary Fence.

Mr. Eric W. Friedlander, Tuakau, applied for permission "to erect a temporary fence out on the road al Tuakau fo work out blackberry, also permission to erect a fence across; the road between his north-west corner fnd the Waikato River.—Left to Cr. Wilcox, but temporary fence Agreed to.

Auckland Culvert.

Mr. W. J. Jeffries, Buckland, asked the council to lower a culvert in front of his property about 2ft or Bft, as he wished to drain the swamp on his property.—Engineer to report. Applicant would have to pay cost. Lease Required.

Mrs. M. Slade, Pukekohe, offered to lease portion of land near Helvetia station for 10s 6d per annum.—Left to Cr. Woods.

*" Hunua Road. Mr. A. McKenzie, Hunua, requested the council to attend to the road leading to his property as it was in a very bad state.—Decided to give property owners notice to clear the creek out. The engineer to inspect.

Mr. R,,. Gordon, Waipipi, wrote
