LODGE EXCELSIOR
1.0.0.F.. N.Z. INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS. The members of Lodge Excelsior, No. 70, held their usual fortnightly meeting in the Lodge Room, Narrington Avenue, on Tuesday evening last. There were present P.G. Bro.. Gray, acting-D.G.M., and P.G. Bro. Horspool, G Marshall (Auckland), the N.G. and officers and some 20 members from Waiuku and about 25 mem-' bers of Lodge Excelsior. Bro. Gray apologised for the non-attendance ot' Bro. Armiger, D.D.G.M., who had been prevented from taking his place as installing master at the ceremony of installing officers for the present term on account of the death of his brother, which had occurred that day. After the usual routine business, the acting-D.G.M. proceeded to invest the following officers with the insigna of office for the current term: N.G., Bros. J. Duncan, P.G., J. Harriman, V.G., J. Brown; Recording Sec., R. Blake; Financial Sec., Bro. Geo. Blake. The retiring N.G. was duly installed into the I.P.M. chair, and Bro. F. Duncan was appointed chaplain. P.G. Bro. Gray acted as installing master, assisted by Bros. Horspool, D.G.M, and P.G's of Lodge Waiuku. The lodge was closed in due form at 10.30 p.m., after which the visiting brethren were entertained at supper, and the singing of "Auld Lang Syne" and the National Anthem brought to a close a most enjoyable evening.
