Early Colonist's History, OLD PAPAKURA RESIDENT. PASSING OF "AUNTIE." There passed away at Papakura on Saturday last another of Auckland's old colonists. The late Mrs. Emma Mills, aged 80, arrived in New Zealand in 1874 in the ship Waitangi. with her'husband and' young' family. After several years of city life, the deceased, with her husband, removed 'Hf> the Kaipara. Here for 16 years, though somewhat physically disabled, the deceased with her family took up several hundred acres of native bush land at Paparoa. Here, out of the primeval bush, a home was carved, roads wore opened up, find a] school and clur.h was built, mainly by the deceaseds iniVxtiw.
