PAERATA.
SOCIAL AND DANCE A very succossful social and dancA was held on New Year's eve in the Paerata goods shed to mark the entry of 1920. Ihe hall was very tastily decorated with greenery and fligs. Conspicuous amongst the decorations was a " Happy New Year " worked in l'ern on a white ground. There was a Urge attendance of visitors and resUf^a
present, all spending a thoroflHJ enjoyable evening. A lengthy aatce programme was carried out and musical items were rendered by Misses Bums, Schischka aniWi'son A spacious marquee was eflfcted for those who prefeired to cards Miss E. Diamond proved a success at the piano as did Mr W. Stewart, junior, as M.C. Thanks is due to Miss Patkinson for the loan of the piano. The social cammittee are to be congratulated on the success of the function which terminated at 2 a m. with thS singing of Auld Lang Syne.
