DAI RYING OUTPUT.

The output at the New Zealand Dairy Company's factory at Tuakau has decreased considerably of late, on account of the continued dry weather, aDd scarcity of feed During the flush of the season, the output was 1350 boxes of butter per week, the largest day's work being 365 boxes. On Saturday last, a Times reporter, in conversation with the manager, Mr A. H. Roberts, was informed that at the present time only about 1100 boxes of butter were being manufactured per weekMr Roberts said that the grading of the butter this season far superior to any previous season since the inception of the factory at Tuakau. The majority of the croam was at the factory' by 12 30 p.m. each day, with the.exception of the River service, which cream was lifted from the Tuakau •landing three times a week. There were from 50 to 60 cans of cream at each trip. During the Christmas and New Year holidays, they had had an exceptionally flue run, as far as the train services were concerned, on Christmas.Hay, the work was commenced at 4.30 & op., and everything was finished up at 1430 p.m, y He also mentioned, that he had an excellent staff of IV-ften, but on account of accidents duriiw the last two months, he had not haa the full staff, matters somewhat trying fjK- other ambers qf the staff. \ Vk V. Lee had to take Mr Durrant's place, 1 whi'e Mr Roberts himself, had to fill the vacancy caused by Mr Lee filling Mr Durrant's position. On account of the uufortunate mishap, Mr Roberts was kept exceptionally busy. Everything is now running as true as the proverbial gun barrel.
