The fortnightly Pukekohe Tennis Dance will be held on Thursday. A notice in reference to plumbers' examinations is advertised.
A final reminder is given of tho appearance of the Musical Carlpon's at tho Premier Hall this evening. A farewell will be tendered to Mr J. Dent and family in the Oddfellows' Hall to-night. Everyone is invited. Breeders of Jersey cattle should not fail to read a report of the Association's meeting at Pukekohe, which will be published on Friday. The Times may now be secured from Mr J. Patterson, bookseller, stationer, aud fancy goods merchant, King Street Pukekohe. The annual meeting of tho Mauku Athletic Club will be held on Friday night, when the election of officers will lie held, and the matter of the annual sports discussed. A grand Maori Entertainment will he held in the Premier Hall, Pukekohe, on Tuesday, October 21st, as advertised. An extended reference will be published later. Tho OpeniogDay of the Pukekohe Bowling Club will be held on next Saturday, when all members and intending members are invited to he present. A musical programmo will be rendered.
It is notified that tho headquarters of the New Zetland Dairy Association hive been removed to Hamilton, to which town all eoirespondent should be addressed. Tho temporary ollices are in tho Winter bhow Buildings. Owners of mares are directed to a stud notice in this issue, ordered by Mr Caleb llosking, of Waiulwi, in reference to the well and favourably known Mies, tho Clydesdalo stallions " Royal Marcollus," and tho trotter " Young Drover " Members of tho l'ukekohe Tennis Club were i.usily engaged on Saturday, preparing tiio local teunis courts for play A large crowd was present, aud some good and (xeiting games eventuated. It is expected that the official opening will take place late in October. The Kuturuiug Ollicer, Mr J: Patterson, has all arrjngements about ready in respect to the polling booths for "the coming parliamentary elections. Additional booths are being provided at Tuakau school Aka Aka, Carlton Hall, the latter t'iking tho place of the former booth at Mr Houston's place " Belmont."

In ''onnevion with the death of Mrs C M. Rooso, of " Rosomont," Pukekohn, a memorial sorrico of singular power wag oonductod in tho Methodist Church on Sunday, by the Rev J. F. Martin. Tho church was draped, and fbral tributes adorned the pulpit. Appropriate music was rendered by the choir, and the favourite hyuins of the defused lady were sung by a congregation of friends and mourners which tilled tho church. The
