ENTERTAINMENTS.

Lyceum Pictures. "I WANT MY CHILDREN." "The shrinkage in the birth rate is one of the most im[ ortant matters of the present day." - The Hon. G. W. Russell, October 30th. The above picture to be screened at the Premier Hall to-morrow (Wednesday) evening is a daring indictment against race suicide This picture is altogether different, more daring but less offensive, and an infinitely greater succees than "Where are my Children." It is a powerful theme, powerfully sot forth! Although it deals with a daring subject, it does so reverently. Every girl, woman and man should see this picture. Children under Id will not be admitted.

Musical Carlson's An entertainment of a somewhat noval desciption will be given in the Premier Hall on Tuesday, October 14th, when the Musical Carlsons will make their re-appearance in Pukekohe. These versatile people by their clever manipulation of a variety of musical bells, and also improvised instruments, prove very interesting as well as entertaining. A particularly novel instrument is one called by the name of the mirrimbophone band. This is really an instrument constructed of a number of pieces of wood, which, with the deft manipulation of the performers, produces some wonderful features of pleasing music. The entertainment is rightly described as a novelty musical show.
