The Carlsop Bellringers
COMING TUESDAY, OCT. lira It is not very often that the Puke* kohe public has the opportunity of hearing really high class music, by taleatedj artists, but when such is avail able, it is appreciated to the fullest extent. On Tuesday, October 14th next, lovers of music will have an opportunity-of hearing the Carlson Bellringers—a company direct from the leading theatres. They are undoubtedly clever performers, and put on a really novel instrumental show, playing instruments of all kinds and makes and shapes, together with bells. The star performer is Miss Mavisina, expert z lophonist and bellringer. The two musical Carlsons, Russian and Jayanese instrumentalists, who it will be recollected years ago, as appearing in the Steele-Payne Bellringers, when Lynch and Bellcrome were touring this Dominion. Apart from a high-class programme, the Carlsons are presenting, for the approval of the general public, their great mirribophone band. This instrument is made from pieces of wood and shell cases, and is quite unique, and in the hands of the Carlsons, music of a bright and entertaining nature is the result. Popular, and the newest items are rendered in keeping with the high reputation the company has, gained elsewhere. Ragtime, waltzes and marches are to be heard on this marvellous instrument, while the spinning discs are another novelty of the show. Fred Carlson, the gifted tenor vocalist renders items at, and away from the piano, and is a show on his own. This will be the only chance the local public will have of seeing a performance " out on its own." The prices are fixed so as to suit all purses.
