TUAKAU.
At the residence of Mrs D. Walker a kitchen party was given to Miss A. Linder, a very pleasant evening being spent in dancing and musical items. Many useful presents were received.
Mr C. Diven, formerly a flaxmiller for number of years, has disposed of his property in George street, and intends settling at Te Hirua, when he has acquired a farm He is an old esteemeil resident of Tuakau.
