PERSONAL
Sergt D. A. N. Twidle, son of Mrs J. Hooey, of " Willow Grove," Pukekohe, is among those returning from Egypt by the Elliuga, due to arrive to-day. An addition to the number of the legal fraternity in Pukekohe, is Mr Percy H Basley, formerly of Rewai, Fiji, who has set up an office in King street, next Mr W. T. Jones, saddle? In 1905, Mr Basley was admitted to the New Zealand bar at Auckland, and three years later, 1908, departed for Fiji, where he resumed his profession for 10 years. At the end of 1918 he decided to return to New Zealand, and eventually landed here in January of the present year. During his residence in Fiji, he practised and did a considerable amount of planting. He came in contact with all races. Upon his arrival at Auckland, he took up his residence, but decided to tour the Auckland province in search of land. While motoring through Pukekohe he was very much impressed with the surroundings, and contends that it is the prettiest and the most congenial place in the Auckland province.
