TOWN BOARD MEETING. A meeting of the above was held on the J3rd instant. Present tha chairman, Mr D. W. Jones, Messrs T. Campbell S. Kvans, K. D. McLennon, and Dr Brookfield. a petition was read from Mr J. Walker requesting the Board's help in removal of water from the road by the corner of his property. It was movul b\- the chairman that the works committee see into the matter and report the matter to the next meeting. The motion wai seconded by Mr Rvans and carried.
The chairman moved that notice lie sent to Mrs Lynch in the terms of Mr Stenton's letter to open the road through her pro]>erty. The motion was secon led l»y Mr K vans and cartied.

houses in ihe eistrict the Minister be written to drawing his attention to the desirability of purchasing ground and erecting workmen's cottages. The motion was seconded by Mr Campbell and carried.
The Chairmaa moved that Mr A. L. Cooper be appointed Returning officer for the Board. The motion was seconded by Mr Evans and carried,
The matter of interviewing Mr Goldie with regard to securing a suitable park was left in the hands of the Chairman.
