Te Koa Concert Party

TO-NIGHT

By notices lately appearing in the Times readers will have noted that the Te Koa Concert Company, which gives a concert at Pukekohe to-night, comes with a reputation earned in many to>vns and cities. Pukekohe is indeed tortunate in that this versatile troupe is visiting the town, and no one who appreciates really good popular entertainment should miss them. Apart from the intrinsic merit of the various performers in song, music, and jest, they ars refreshingly original—something different from the old stereotyped fare dished up with monotonous repetition. For good singing, musicianly instrumental work, and rollicking yet keen wit and humour, thej]Te Koas can hold their own. To-night, at the Premier Hall, they will prove their merit.

Lyceum Pictures. The star feature for screening at the Premier Hall tomorrow('Wednesday) evening entitled " The Honeymoon " is a piquant spicy story of the most amazing honeymoon happening ever heard Constance Talmadgo is playing in the little role with Earle Foxe playsng opposite. It is a deligtful story, brimful of comedy, a real mustard and cayenne mixture containing about twice as many scandalous happenings as her last picture " fcicandal " The supports are " Topical Budget" and a Keystone comedy " The Betrayal of Maggie."

The Lyceum management have made special arrangements with the Fox Film Corporation for the screening of the great human problem play " The Honor Syctem," to take place on Monday next. This picture is produced on a similar scale to «Intolerance." It deals mainly with the prison system of the United States, and with the punitive wars between the States and Mexico. There are '>oo,ooo prisoners drifting in and out of American prisons yearly. Every year 1 ~'SOO parsons breathe their last behind the prison bars in that country. How to deal with these prisoners is told in this gigantic film. Over there, the regular prison population is more than 170,000 human beings, and not less 50,000 of these are women. Startling scenes, taken in actual prisons, are shown in "The Honor feystem 1,000 horses figure in Mexican border battle bumes. ihere is a powerful love drama running right through the picture, which is enacted by artists and types famous in the moving picture world.
