The Kigoma's Draft
Soldiers resident in this district, who are expected to arrive by the transport Kigoma, which is due to arrive at Wellington on July 15, are: Corp. A. J. Davis, Papatoetoe ' Pvte. C. Douglas, Pokeno ~ G. L. Knight, Mangere „ E. Lord, Otahuhu Corp. R. McConnochie, Otahuhu. No Pukekohe men are on board the vessel.
The future of the State farm at Moumahaki was mentioned by the Director of Agriculture, Dr Reakes, at a recent sitting of the Industries Committee, at Wellington. He said that at Moumahaki the Department did not pretend to go in for breeding purebred stock to any great extent, but the policy there in the past had not been too clearly defined, and one of the points in the scheme of reorganisation dealt with the extent to which breeding should be carried on.
