WOMEN'S PATKIOTIO LEAGUE MAUKU BRANCH. Owing to the epidemic the usual monthly meeting of the above was not held last month. The President (Mrs Gutry) reports that a fair amount of work has b?en put through enabling her to send on another good parcel to headquarters. Word has just come forward that although peace may soon be declared our efforts for Red Cross purposes will be required for at least two years more. Mrs Outfield (Knitting Convenor) reports the receipt of socks from Mrs Porter 4 pairs, Mrs E. Gillon 2 pairs, Mrs Bell 1 pair. Balaclava caps: Mrs E. Gillon 2 caps (gift). Scarves : Mrs Goldsworthy, Miss E. Outfield 1 each. Mrs Gutry (Sewing Convenor) reports the receipt of pyjamas from Mrs Brady 5 pairs, Mts Pleydell 3 pairs, Mrs Wily, Mies G. Frauklin 2 pairs each, Misses Madill, I Hogwood 1 pair eadh. Cash donations have been as follows: Anonymous 16s 6d; Miss I. Hogwojd 4s; Mesdames Wily and E. Gillon 2s 6(1 each ; Mr G. A. Gutry 15a ; Mrs M. Crisps 3s; Mesdames Ashford, Ahfeld, Cirfield, Ruccituan aod Gutry, Misses Runciman, Madill and Bailey 2s each. People are again reminded that, the League will be glad of any spare books o: magazines. The next Aeeting of the League will be held on the first Wednesday in March. It is proposed to hold the postponed Art Union and Concert during a moonlight night in January, parti- ' culars of which will be advertised later.
