CLEVEDON.
The executive committee of the Clevedon A. and P. Association have decided to hold their Annual Show (which was postponed from Nov. 23, owing to the epidemic) early in February, the exact date to be fixed later to fit in with other Show fixtures.
A correspondent writes : —" Much excitement was caused last week amongst the straying horses and cattle on the Clevedon roads, when it was reported that " Tommy's Tractor " had escaped from its shed and eloped with the Council's grader. The '' contracting" parties were united by Tommy and the Council's foreman, who will accompany the happy (though noisy) couple on their wedding trip, which is to be spent in touring the Clevedon district, where they will scrape acquaintances along the various roads. There are, however, rumours that on their return a separation order will be issued by the Council on the grounds of unfaithfulness, the tractor having been seen at various times pressing hay unknown to the grader and also being observed to have dragged the grader by the nose through various patches of mud.
