GALLANT SOLDIER'S DEATH Mr and Mrs Joseph McAnulty, of Hutton Street, Otahuhu, have been advised that their second and youngest son, Veterinary Surgeon James McAnulty, died on the '29 th ult. in Brockenhurst as the result of vjpu'ias France shortly of hostilies, his by an attack of pneumonia. blow is all the harder for his parents to bear in view of the fact that he had been fighting for his country for four years and that it was his fajip to join the great majority w®n fighting was over. The late Veterinary Surgefl|L McAnulty, who was 31 years of enlisted with the 2nd Reinforcements and first served in Egypt and* later on in France. He *ras Otahuhu and received educwon at Otahuhu public 5 He ws of a cheerful disposition and gaitS|& many friends, especially amongst members of the cluljp and societies in which he took aujtepminent part. He was a keen belonging to and Otahuhu Senior Club, of wHtoWwwk - he was for a period captain. He was also a member of the Loyal Franklin Lodge (Manchester Unity) of Oddfellows and gained a'U the honours of which his Lodge could offer him. Following the occupation of a plumber he was for a number of years in the employ of Mr W. B. Lloyd.
