WAIUKU.
The epidemic is pn the wane in Waiuku district. Several cases were brought into the hospital during the week, but all are-now progressing favourably. Theii have been a number of deathat the Maori settlement, but tb6 latest reports show that matters'!have much improved there. £ An old resident : of the Waiuku district, Mr Anthony May, died from influenza pneumonia on Friday, at the age of 60 Dfteased who was the eldest son of Mr Anthony May, senior, of Waiuku, spent nearly all his life in that district, and for the last few years had been farming at Kariotahi. Mr M|y was a promi - nent member of thtt Masonic order, and was accorded a Masonic funeral. He is survived by |lrs May, three sons, and six daughters.
